Ghislain Ditshekedi

Ditshekedi is a visual artist living and working in Lubumbashi.

Graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Lubumbashi, he participated in several exhibitions including Initiation in 2014 organized by the Comptemporary Art Gallery of the Museum of Lubumbashi. Between 2013 and 2015 he worked in the production team of the Lubumbashi Biennale organized by Picha asbl where he collaborated and attended several local artistic projects.

In his last work, M’Zizi (Root), exhibited at the Waza Art Center in 2016, the artist wonders about the fragile and fleeting nature of life and denounces the evils of society: War, politico-tribal conflicts, natural disasters, political crimes, rape, etc.

For Chinafrika. under construction , Ditshekedi proposes to work on a series of structure which questions / challenges and attempts to illustrate the relationship China-Africa.
