Huang Xiaopeng

Huang Xiaopeng, born 1960, China. He studied for a HDFA at the Slade in London (1990-92). He was associate professor and the head of the 5th studio in Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts (2003-2012). Since 2012 he is Professor in South China Normal University, he is also the funder of HB Station (Contemporary Art Research Center) in Guangzhou, China. His video and public installation works explore inevitable dislocations as a consequence of translating, copying and transforming, to test the boundaries of meaning.
