A human rights activist, Luc Mukendi works for the Belgian NGO CADTM (Committee for the Abolition of illegitimate Debts of the Third World). He has participated in several social forums in Africa and around the world (Mali, Togo, Benin, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Nairobi, Holland, Brazil).
In Lubumbashi, he works in mining governance where he advocates for the economic, cultural and social rights of local communities through his involvement in structures such as the Lubumbashi Social Forum, the Platform for Organizations Working in Mining Governance, the Coalition African actors socially committed …
He wrote several articles including the text “The city Gécamines today and the Operation Départ volontaire ” as part of the Revolution Room Project initiated by Vansa (Visual Arts Network of South Africa) and the Waza Art Center (ex Picha Art Center) in Lubumbashi.
For the Chinafrica project Luc will participate in the writing of the texts that will support artists’s works.
